Welcome to the second round of createurope: THE FASHION DESIGN AWARD!

For the first time, this year participants from the Middle East and North Africa are also invited to enter createurope. The winners will receive scholarships, further training in design, marketing and sales or internships with renowned fashion establishments. A European jury made up of experts from the arts and fashion scene will select 30 finalists from all of Europe, Middle East and North Africa. The finalists will be invited to Berlin for the final event in late October to present their collections at a big fashion show and final gala in Berlin.

On this evening, a second prominent jury will decide on the winners in the four categories: Best Upcoming Designer Award, Best Avant-Garde Award, Best Student Award and Audience Award. The patron of the competition is Dirk Schönberger, creative director of Joop!. The trophies were designed by British sculptor Tony Cragg.

The Best Upcoming Designer Award offers a 12 months full-scholarship at Le Village des Créateurs in Lyon, France, including: coaching, accommodation, and flight. The winner of the Best Upcoming Designer Award will receive assistance to develop a collection, further training and coaching, marketing advice.
