I've made music my whole life, but only this year I decided to try and make a living with it. So I locked myself in my living room/ studio that I call the Sanctuary and wrote, recorded and produced a whole album on my own. The songs you can listen to here are the first five that I finished the rough mix for. I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I enjoyed making them. If you do, please vote for me (I'm still a long way from making a living with music and winning this would help so much)! It's hard for me to describe what my music sounds like. What most people seem to agree on though is that it is very beautiful and intricate with lush layering of sounds and vocals. Each song is quite unique in its way because I'm trying to translate the meaning of the lyrics into the music. For me it's as if each song has a very different character and you can hear that in the sounds and instruments I've used. It already starts with the beats. I only use field recordings I make myself and they are either directly or associatively connected to words in the lyrics. A lot of the "instruments" are also sounds I've recorded, tweaked and then sampled and played.
